Aja Project
Do you love to take pictures or would like to learn how? The AjA Project was founded to empower teens to use photography and other media arts to share their stories, gain self-esteem, and build leadership skills. For the Crawford After School program, The AjA Project provides Crawford students with an opportunity to share their stories with classmates and teachers. The thrill and excitement of taking pictures keeps teens coming back each week and helps them stay on task during their classes. This partnership offers students a rare experience to document life in their community using visual images that they have created and written stories about their experiences.
The AjA project meets every Monday and Wednesday after school. Come to room 513 to find out more information.

Garden and Culinary Club
The Crawford After School program facilitates a garden on campus with the intention of providing students a new club opportunity. Over the past year the Crawford garden has produced a variety of fruits and vegetables. Students learn composting, farming, and local food systems. Everyone gets down and dirty two days a week. Tuesdays, students get their exercise pulling weeds and planting new plants, Thursdays, students are in the cafeteria learning how to cook using the garden produce!
The Crawford Garden Club meets every Tuesday and Thursday after school at the on campus garden behind the baseball field. For more information come visit Ms. Raymond in Room 862.

Outdoor Adventure Club
Do you love the great outdoors? If so we have an opportunity for you! Crawford After School has partnered with Outdoor Outreach, a local nonprofit partner, that is committed to providing opportunities for at-risk and underprivileged youth to gain confidence and self-esteem through participation in outdoor activities. Teens get the opportunity to know the fun of camping, hiking, surfing, or mountain biking. This is a great opportunity for Crawford students to experience the thrill of the outdoors.
The Outdoor Adventure Club meets every Thursday after school in Room 501. Come in and see Ms. LeClair for more details.

Local To Global
Make a difference for high school students in other countries! Each week the student led Local to Global group meets to organize and fundraise for students in third world countries such as Ghana and Tanzania. Every year the students put on a major fundraiser in the form of a concert at the World Beat Center in Balboa Park. Money that is raised goes directly to other young people in these underdeveloped countries and helps pay for education programs and scholarships.
If you are interested is making a difference in the world come and visit the Local to Global crew after school on Fridays in Room 402.
