Reflection - Heather Hobson
hThe first thing I had to do with the help of my partner, Charity, was to add in the buttons as rollover images. This was hthe easiest part about adding all the content. After adding the buttons, we had to decide how we were going to display hthe content on each page. We finally decided to do each page individually. hWe didn't have any big problems until we got to the Gallery page. We had a lot of pictures, all mixed up, with weird hhknames and random sizes. We had to categorize the pictures into categories that we thought were appropriate. We then had to go back and resize every picture while deciding how exactly we would display the pictures. At first, I made some sample pages using thumbnails that click over to a page displaying all the pictures. I did all the pages with this and thought we were done with the website. I was thinking of better ideas that would make the website look a lot more fun when it came to looking through the gallery. I found a website that made slideshows, www.mypicpals.com, and decided to put the pictures into a slideshow. This was my first service learning project, and I liked it a lot. I enjoyed working with my team and I enjoyed hearing the input of other people when they looked through the website. The client was pretty easy to work with and everything we had to do was very straightforward. |
